25 Years in Construction: A New Chapter Begins!

In 2001, I took my first steps into the world of construction, selling steel and drywall for a Supplier in Englewood, Colorado. For a decade, I immersed myself in the industry—serving on the AWCI board, building relationships, and expanding my expertise by selling ceiling products for GMS and taking educational courses to stay ahead. From there, I ventured into entrepreneurship, launching JG Contracting Services.

What started as a small residential business soon grew into large basement remodels and small commercial tenant finish projects. I absolutely loved the process—transforming spaces and making visions come to life. But when COVID hit, I had to walk away from that business.

Not one to sit still, I shifted gears and joined an Acoustics company as a project assistant, diving deeper into project management. That experience propelled me to Project Manage for a local General Contractor, where I managed commercial tenant finish projects. However, when the workload slowed, I found myself at a crossroads, wondering:

What’s next?

Then it hit me—project management is my passion. The work I did with JG Contracting gave me invaluable experience in everything from ground-up builds to high-end renovations. I knew I could take those skills and create something even bigger. That’s when Mile High Construction Concepts was born—a company dedicated to expert Project Management for commercial projects and high-end residential renovations.

But what makes this next chapter even more exciting? My son, Dylan! He’s finishing his degree at CSU this May and will be joining me as our Business Controller. Working alongside him and building this company together is something truly special. After years of experience, learning, and evolving in this industry, I’m beyond thrilled to take everything I’ve built and pour it into this next adventure. To those who have been part of my journey—thank you. To those looking for a dedicated Project Manager who truly understands construction inside and out, let’s connect. Mile High Construction Concepts is here, and we’re ready to build something great!
